ANZAC Weekend
This week is ANZAC Weekend and we having new programmes for you to hear. First on Friday Night, 24th from 8pm - Midnight we are doing a Virtual Birthday Party for one of our sponsors. They provide the video link to the party by way of Zoom ot House Party and we provide 4 hours of Music they have selected. It's just like having your own DJ but cheaper.
THEN @ 6.00 am on ANZAC Day,25th, We are doing a virtual ANZAC Day Dawn Service. Has a;; the hallmarks of a usual dawn Service. Morrin Cooper JP, MBE and former mayor of Howick will play the Last Post and Reveille, plus input from local groups. Listen via www.radiowavenz.com... Listen Live)
Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
