We’ve got 5 easy to follow tips to keep your garage neat, tidy and organised:
Make Use of Vertical Space – Wall-mounted shelves, hooks, pegboards and cupboards are excellent for storing items and keeping smaller items off the floor. This ensures you have adequate space for your vehicle/s and larger items.
Make Use of Ceiling Storage – Make use of overhead space by installing hooks and racks where you can store items that you don’t use frequently.
Keep Pathways Clear – Avoid blocking entrances and exits and be sure to keep your floor clear of clutter to prevent accidents and allow easy access.
Organise Like Items – Use storage bins and labels where possible to keep similar items together. This makes finding items quick and easy. Also aim to group together larger similar items eg. Gardening tools and equipment to maintain a sense of order.
Clean Regularly – Make sure to clean regularly to avoid excess dust, dirt and clutter. Take the time to review items and sell, donate or discard accordingly.
These 5 simple, yet effective techniques are guaranteed to help you get organised and tidy and help you keep that momentum. It’s also helpful in preventing build-up of clutter!
Remember, if you need help with excess junk and rubbish, we can help! Fast, friendly and efficient junk and rubbish removal to make your life easier and help you reclaim your space!
