Celebrate Māori Language Week with Glenfield Library
‘Te Wiki o te Reo Māori,’ (Māori Language Week) is an annual celebration held in the third week of September. It will be from 11-18, September this year😀
It is a week to celebrate and promote te reo Māori, encouraged to learn the language and experience its rich culture.
This year, we would like to invite you to celebrate with us @12noon, Thursday, 14th September, at our library. We will sing three popular Waiata which has been printed on this post together to mark this special moment❤❤❤
Everyone is welcome. See you then🙌
We also have some te Reo Māori bookmarks for you to pick up🫰
Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
Do you think this ban is reasonable?
