It's reincarnation as Campbells Bay Early Learning Centre is certainly striking and modern. It has been architecturally designed around the 1950s-built church, a heritage building, thus respecting its history and place in the community in a beautiful beachside location.
The philosophy of the centre draws on the practice of Emmi Pikler; respect and trust that the child can be the initiator and explorer of their own learning and Reggio Emilia; where children learn through their interests, social collaboration and investigation.
Daily meals are carefully planned with an onsite chef who caters to allergies and intolerances, and there is always a vegetarian alternative to their main meal.
Limited spaces available visit us at 220 Campbells Bay, or phone Alex and Hayley on 09 479 9090.
We'd love to show you around our exciting new learning centre!

The images were gifted to us in 2016 as glass plate negatives, after being initially purchased in the 1970s from Auckland's City Markets (now Aotea Square). We know nearly nothing about them but the photos give a few clues. They were taken in the early 1900s, mostly in Auckland but also across the North Island. There are also suggestions of the photographer’s links to the Auckland Jewish community.
We want to know more to help tell their stories. Do you recognise any of these people?
Contact us at pictorial@aucklandmuseum.com if you have any further clues. Please share with family and friends if you think they may be able to help!
