Have you thought about joining a choir this year?
If you love singing and can sing in tune, come and join our very friendly community choir, Cantemus, this year. We're an unauditioned SATB choir conducted by Stuart Weightman, singing a wide variety of secular and religious music, from Bach to the Beatles and beyond. We practise on Monday nights from 7.30 to 9.30 (including supper), at St Luke's church in Newmarket, starting the year on Monday February 15. Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
