This will provide a new connection from Northcote College to Tui Glen Road and Raymond Terrace, with the Tui Glen route being step-free. The bridge itself will be 60m long and 18m high.
The new tracks and boardwalk will be built to a standard to help prevent the spread of kauri dieback disease, which is especially important in this park. The project includes the installation of shoe-cleaning stations at each entrance.
As part of the work, the current track on the gully floor will be decommissioned.
The attached map shows the area that will be closed to the public from 7 November 2022 to 30 June 2023 so that work can take place.
Northcote College have agreed to use the edge of their field for the storage of material and helicopter work. There are expected to be 37 days of helicopter work during the project.
Funded from both the Kaipatiki Local Board's renewal budget and the Natural Environment Targeted Rate.

Hi there, I am trying to grow garden mushrooms (King Straphoria) and I need a small amount of hardwood chips (also wheat/barely straw).
If anyone has any, I would really appreciate it. Thank you.
