For the month of November, we want to raise awareness and work together to end all forms of violence including family harm, elder and child abuse, sexual assault, gang violence, and more. These victimisations affect us all and can have lasting effects that spill into our everyday lives including at work and school.
To do your part this month, perhaps consider supporting a women’s refuge or work with Police in your area to host an info night on how to identify elder or child abuse in your community. This month’s campaign also coincides with White Ribbon Day on 25 November which is an internationally celebrated day that aims to prevent violence towards women.
Let us know how you’re spreading the ‘It’s Not OK’ message in your home or in your community by tagging us in your posts + using the following hashtag so we can see what you get up to:

Dogs lolling beneath cafe tables while their owners sip lattes or glasses of pinot would have been unthinkable 30 years ago.
Now it is just the way Kiwis roll, with a raft of dog-friendly dining options available throughout the country. What do you think? Should dogs be allowed in cafes?

Hi Neighbours, Auckland Transport's $1.3 million rideshare experiment is subsiding each ride by $11.72, and 48 per cent of trips are Devonport folk travelling solo to or from their ferry. Good way to spend money? Read the story below:

I have been using them for almost a year now and saving up to 40+% on my electricity on average by shifting our washing, heating, cooking, baking, ironing etc to the free hour of power (off peak hours).
With their app you can also monitor your usage as well as change the free hour of power at any time of the day/week before the daily billing cut off at midnight.
Let me know if you have any questions.
