As the cold weather approaches us, please take the time to check if your neighbours are warm or just need a cuddle. It costs nothing to be pleasant to one another. If you can't help, feel free to contact me / post on here that there is someone in need. I am sure that there are many people here and in the community who are willing and able to assist. People are generally embarrassed to ask for help, so a quick msg on behalf of them will help. All will remain confidential.

1. If you’re not using it, switch it off: If you’re not using an appliance, such as a heated towel, dryer, or TV, switch it off at the wall so it doesn’t use power on standby.
2. Change your cooking habits: Eat fresh veges instead of cooking. Using the oven for an hour a night can add $20 to your monthly power bill.
3. Use curtains to trap heat in: Let the sun heat your home during the day then close your curtains to stop the warmth escaping in the evening.
