Since 1916, Anzac Day has become the day New Zealanders acknowledge the service and sacrifice of all people involved in military conflicts. It commemorates more than 300,000 New Zealanders who served their country and the 30,000 who have died in service, and had been a public holiday since 1921.

Howdy neighbours. Over the last week or so I have seen a couple off chickens in the gravel kinda parking area by the bridge on Poyntzs Road near Sth Eyre Road.
I was wondering if anyone knows whether they belong to someone, or been dumped there? They are grey in color. I'll add a couple of pics one of the location on Google maps, and one of the chooks I took this afternoon.
If no one nearby owns them, my neighbour can give them a new home.
Please reply if you live near this river and they are, or are not yours, or anyone else who knows whether they belong to anyone?
Sorry photo of birds is crap, taken on my cheap phone in bad light lighting

Some fun examples include: Squawk St, Pallid Green, Beak St, Feather Place and Claw Place.

What do you think of the new names? Want to move onto Pallid Green? Or raise the kids in a little house on Squawk St?
