Upper Hutt Animal Rescue Society (UHARS) is a shelter that takes in homeless, stray and unwanted animals, providing them with a safe haven until they find a permanent home. UHARS is a charitable organisation and relies largely on the generosity of the public. Volunteers come from all walks of life to share a common goal – the protection and care of animals, specifically cats, kittens and rabbits
