Being able to walk, cycle, skate or scooter a road without having cars around gives you a wonderful different experience of your city. That is what Ciclovia about: closing streets to motorists and opening it for people to enjoy. It started in Bogota, Colombia. And it is now an annual event there and other cities around the world, including Wellington. We are looking to take it to the Hutt City and possibly Porirua next.
