Each week in New Zealand three families receive the devastating news that their child has cancer. Dealing with the challenges that come with caring for a child with cancer is extremely hard on families, but with financial, practical and emotional support this impact can be reduced.
What does the Child Cancer Foundation Do?
The Child Cancer Foundation works to reduce the impact of cancer by offering services that ensure children and their families are supported, informed and remain connected at every stage of their journey. Through our work we aim to build resilience in families by offering personalised and meaningful assistance as well as a shoulder to lean on when times are tough.
How can you help?
As a stand-alone charity that receives no direct funding from the government, we rely on the generosity of New Zealanders to help us deliver our support to children and their families when they need it most. Our services are funded through a variety of fundraising initiatives as well as the generosity of business partners, bequests, grants, donations and sponsorships.
