A majority of our elderly community have little to no contact with relatives or friends, and the limited environment of company may cause the patient to feel less dignified, independent, and important. Adopt a Grandparent NZ enables families to be matched up with a patient in a nursing home facility, or an individual who is living alone, that has limited or no contact with friends or family. By "Adopting a Grandparent," families are able to meet, socialize, and participate in activities, crafts, and events. We hope to help lift spirits of the elderly, but also help families create a wonderful relationship with the "grandparent".
