May to June 24 call outs
18 May 03:03 House fire Motueka valley highway. Only stayed at fire for a short while then went to Motueka Fire Station as a cover more for 4 hours.
3 Jun 17:15 House fire in Motueka. Dryer may have started. 2 in BA to help damping down fire. Check lint fitter often.
7 Jun 12:07 dogs locked in car on Mapua Dr. assist owner to unlock car.
11 June 18:30 backyard fire on Goddard rd. let owner to burn. (thinking they would let it die down)
11 Jun 23:53 same backyard fire as above. Got owner to put out. No permit,
17 June 15:14 Boat fire in channel. Used a small boat and portable pump to put fire out. Owner was working on fitting a new grate in a fireplace on boat, grinding sparks or hot ashes may have started fire. Owner not on boat when fire started.

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
