Free family friendly community event
SPiCE is holding a free Matariki event in Sandringham this Saturday and you're invited! We will have free workshops - weaving, kite-making and art activities. Free kai from Kiwi Tucker - mussel fritters and seafood chowder. Kai for koha from Edendale School PTA (a yummy bake sale to raise funds for their new netball hoops) and Food Not Bombs. All this plus live music, stories and remembrance. Join with us and the local Sandringham community in honour of Matariki, it's going to be a great day. All Welcome.

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
