HouseKeeping Job

Jerry from Kohimarama

We are looking for a FULL TIME, PART TIME and CASUAL HOUSEKEEPERS, to clean our 8 accommodation rooms and public areas in our magnificent historic building.

You should have great attention to detail, and take pride in your work. You will work in a small housekeeping team, and at times will work by yourself. So self motivation and the ability to work unsupervised is important.

This is a very busy operation with different challenges and rewards every day. Our goal is to make all our members and guests feel welcome, which you will do through your positive and flexible approach.

All our guests are members of similar clubs across New Zealand and around the world. Most of our guests are regulars so you will get to know them well. Productivity is important but as a members club, having time to chat or help with special requests is what makes our place special.

Ideally you will have at least 1 years experience in a housekeeping or cleaning role. We are not a big hotel, or village, but if you have hotel or rest home experience, and are looking for a change, we are keen to hear from you.

This role is suitable for people with no previous experience, but with a positive attitude and willing to learn.

We have FULL TIME work at a minimum 30 hours/week, up to 45 hours/week depending on business levels. PLUS PART TIME AND CASUAL WORK AVAILABLE

You MUST HAVE WEEKEND AVAILABILITY FOR ALL ROLES.

We pay above minimum for the right person.

The great thing about our Club is our members - everyone is a regular, and you'll get to know them well….and they'll get to know you. This is a unique and friendly place, where it feels more like home than a hotel.

We hope you will have experience but if you've got the right attitude we can be flexible.

To apply for this vacancy you MUST be a New Zealand citizen, resident, or have already secured the right to work in New Zealand and therefore hold a CURRENT valid visa.

NO SPONSORSHIP OR OVERSEAS BASED APPLICATIONS PLEASE.

Poll: Should drivers retake the theory test every 10 years?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Drivers get where they need to go, but sometimes it seems that we are all abiding by different road rules (for example, the varying ways drivers indicate around a roundabout).
Do you think drivers should be required to take a quick driving theory test every 10 years?

Vote in the poll and share any road rules that you've seen bent! 😱
