Auckland City Council Dog rules under lockdown 4.

Gail from Glendowie

On the Auckland Council Website is a rule that in Lockdown 4 all dogs need to be on a leash at all times even in leash free areas.
ourauckland.aucklandcouncil.govt.nz...
This is to prevent covid Delta spread and to also protect emergency service workers who might need to become involved.
Owners need to be in control of their dog at all times - always difficult when dogs run free. I was a dog owner and always walked my dog on a leash so I knew I had control at all times.
I have seen quite a number of dogs running free on Roberta Reserve Beach - if you look on the Auckland City Council website you will find that this area is out of bounds to low tide to support the wading birds which are rapidly depleting in number. However, the dogs can swim in the "pond" beside the bridge when the tide is right.
Evidently there is a considerable fine if the ranger finds a dog on the mudflats.

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Drivers get where they need to go, but sometimes it seems that we are all abiding by different road rules (for example, the varying ways drivers indicate around a roundabout).
Do you think drivers should be required to take a quick driving theory test every 10 years?

Vote in the poll and share any road rules that you've seen bent! 😱
