Rangiora pupils campaign for crossing on dangerous road outside their school
A group of senior pupils at Rangiora’s Te Matauru Primary have launched a campaign urging authorities to improve road safety near their school.
The pupils launched a petition asking the Waimakariri District Council to add a pedestrian crossing and reduce the speed limit outside their school.
“Our school is growing quickly, and we need to have road crossings and a slower traffic area so that we can cross safely," they say.
