Join us at the official opening of Auckland Council's Te Paataka Koorero o Takaanini, our new community hub, for a day of fun celebrating the opening this new facility, which includes a library and community spaces. Learn, create and share with us.

When: Saturday 27 March 2021
10am: Opening ceremony and powhiri
10.30am: Community open day. Come and look inside, join in activities and games. On the village green, Counties Manukau Cricket is hosting games with with loads of prizes.

Where: Arion Road, Takanini -within the Takanini Shopping Village.

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.

This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
