Peek inside Dunedin's life-sized historic doll's-house

Nicole Reporter from Dunedin News

When the Fulton family first arrived in the New Zealand they decided to settle in the country, just outside the bustling, pre-Gold Rush metropolis of 1840s Dunedin.

As their fortunes increased, they decided they would need a city pad, for entertaining important guests and taking part in “the season”, when alliances - both business and personal – would be forged.

In 1865, they commissioned a townhouse in the traditional style, with steep pitched roofs, and oodles of stained-glass depicting their journey from Ireland to New Zealand. Designed by renown Dunedin architect William Clayton, they called it Lisburn House. Read the full story of Lisburn House here.
