Timber Museum

The NZ Timber Museum showcases the Central North Island timber industry, featuring the Tuck & Watkins Mill, the numerous native mills history, static displays and the axemen’s memorabilia in our pioneer hut.

Alongside the historic museum, the 6 hectare site has an historic church, events centre and mobile home parking, all surrounding the beautiful Village Green.

The museum provides a tranquil and rustic venue for weddings and special events.

Open 7 days 9am-3pm.
