Bush clad, flooding, stockades, potato growing, Shipping yard on the Waiwhetu, Taita was a village standing alone, County Roads and River Boards, Wainuiomata was isolated, Pencarrow lighthouse was later, Okiwi Bay had an accommodation Inn and then the settlers arrived 1840 onwards.
Researching early Lower Hutt for School kits especially private family stories.
