Art as Therapy

Chris Marshall Reporter from Taupō Times

Xanthe Wyse is having an art as therapy exhibition called Speak at Red Rock Gallery from Saturday, September 19 to Tuesday, September 22.

“I use creative expression to process and transform trauma and to express what I can't find words for,” she says.

“I like using bright colours. I have been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and visual art reaches much deeper than words can. My art speaks for me.”

The exhibition is sponsored by the Creative Communities Scheme.
