Who was the male jogger Thursday afternoon who knocked into my daughter?

Tavia from Sandringham

On Thursday afternoon, at about 3.15pm, outside the Salvation Army (cnr Duncan Ave and Mt Albert Road) an adult male jogger knocked into my daughter as he jogged past her. He knocked her mobile phone from her hand and sent it smashing to the ground, breaking it significantly.

It is a really big issue for this solo mother, who can not afford to repair or replace the phone (which was a gift). And a huge disappointment for my daughter who has looked after it so well.

It's so totally uncool. He should have STOPPED and made sure my girl was okay, and that her phone was okay. Instead, he just ran off with a "sorry", leaving US with the damage to try to repair :(

Hoping maybe, that this man has a conscience and is prepared to foot the damages caused - or at least, might make more of an effort to pleeeeeeease just avoid people!

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.

This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.
