Neptune Reserve to Sispara Place Reserve walkway
If you would like the Neptune Reserve to Sispara Place Reserve walkway repaired, it's time to speak up!
In 2017, a storm led to a landslip that wiped out part of the walkway that runs from behind Neptune Reserve to the beach at Sispara Place Reserve.
I've received many enquires from locals asking when it will be restored but now the Kaipātiki Local Board is being advised by council staff to permanently close the walkway (with an option for a lookout at the Neptune Reserve end). One reason given is that it must be a low-use track because council has only received an average of 1 enquiry per year about it!
If you'd like the track rebuilt, the Local Board needs to hear from you.
