Bell's Track Working group.
Attached is our October update.
This Sunday the 2nd of November we will be having our monthly working bee on Bell's Track Ngaio. Meeting at 10.30 am end of Awarua Street. We will have tools but gardening gloves are essential as we will be weeding mostly, loppers would be good for we aim to get rid of as much gorse as possible.
We also meet every Tuesday morning at 11 am Awarua Street Station and work in that area for 2 hours.
Our aim is to bring back as much of the original forest to Ngaio a forest to support our wonderful bird life and help with depleting the carbon dioxide and making a healthier environment. Weeding is an important part, like predator control also many people are not aware but the exotic plants gone wild are a bigger threat to our environment than the introduced animals.
We desperately need more helpers also you might like to adopt a spot.

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
