Featherston Booktown is hosting UK author Sarah Moss: it's rare to have an international author of this quality here in the region.Sarah writes hard-to-put- down fiction for young adults and adults. She is the author of Cold Earth, Night Waking, Bodies of Light, Signs for Lost Children and The Tidal Zone. Come and hear Sarah talk about her new book Ghost Wall with publisher and South Wairarapa resident, Mary McCallum: Friday 8 November at 7:00 – 8:00pm in the Function Room at the Royal Hotel Featherston. Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
