Homemade Lavender Lemon Lip Balm

Way Of Life Health Shop

Although the weather is far from summery at the moment, summer is just around the corner and it is time to start preparing for it. This is a nice hydrating lip balm recipe free of toxic chemicals. Great for personal use, and also a great Christmas gift idea!
Ingredients:
2 tblsp bees wax
4 tblsp coconut oil
7 drops lavender essential oil
7 drops lemon essential oil
2 drops vitamin E
Glass or tin lip balm or chapstick containers. As lemon oil is acidic it can eat into plastic and releases toxins.
Directions:
1. Melt beeswax, coconut oil and vitamin E in a small pot over a low heat stirring occasionally.
2. Remove from heat, add oils, and whisk well.
3. Pour into containers and leave to cool on the bench.

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.

This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.
