Donating goods to families/children/teenagers in need
Hi all, We're slowly moving into another property and as we embark on the move (over the next few months) I'm going through everything in the house and finding all manner of things to donate. Most are new clothes (size 14 +/-) and other things like warm scarves etc for winter. Does anyone know of any organisation or people connected with them, that will actually gift these items to people in need now...not via the sallies or hospice or anything like that. I have plenty of other things to go there. I'm thinking maybe even children who can't afford clothes/shoes and sanitary products...that kind of organisation. Do any schools have something set up for students in need?
Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.
