What's on at Strathmore Community Centres, 108 Strathmore Ave and Raukawa Reserve.

Apologies, we’ve been a little quiet recently in our communications. We are still here but we have been super busy catching up after the Easter break. And really busy working with incredible people that are on board to help create better spaces, systems and programs for our team and for the people in our community. Motions are in progress and we are excited!
Huge shout out to Wellington City Council, our incredible volunteers dedicated to the Strathmore community, Community development teams on the Peninsula, Not for profit organisations , donations of goods from so many of you …the list goes on!
Being a part of and watching community in action is always inspiring! If you or you know anyone who wants to be a part of an amazing community, come visit and join in :)
Our regular activities are still going strong. Here are a few updates and reminders to follow…
Raukawa Community Centre
Join in on the walking group at Raukawa 9am for exercise with a view It’s getting colder out there so there is even more reason to keep moving!
Iona and participants are creating art on Saturdays 11-1pm
Do you need to talk to a Housing New Zealand representative? Head along to Raukawa Community Centre this Wednesday 10 -11am.
Strathmore Park Community Centre
The Hula Fix group are moving more than ever @ 108 Strathmore Ave. If you’d like to join in, the new change of day and time is now full speed ahead on Mondays 6.-7pm. Followed by board games evening 7-9pm. Open to all!
Have you wanted to learn how to Knit or Crochet? Or just want to finish a project you have already started? Come in and join. We have Anne from ‘Crafty Volunteers’ coming to our Friday morning sessions to help if need. Join in for a sew, stitch or knit with the amazing volunteer team.
If you have a passion for a craft and would like to share your skills, join in on our Friday sessions. We are all about learning and sharing new skills in our community here @ Strathmore Ave and Raukawa Community Centres.
Our monthly Community lunch might have a change of day this week due to workshops held at the Centre this Tuesday.
