Shared site is 'the best of both worlds' for Christchurch boys' and girls' schools

Nicole Mathewson Reporter from The Press

The head teachers of Avonside Girls' and Shirley Boys' high schools say their new joint Christchurch campus will offer students "the best of both worlds".

In a New Zealand first, the two single-sex schools will share their state-of-the-art site in Travis Rd but remain separate institutions.

There was an air of anticipation as students arrived on Wednesday to explore the purpose-built facilities for the first time.
