200L water tanks available on Saturday 4 May
Northern Ward city councillors will be selling emergency water tanks for $110 each outside Countdown Johnsonville (next to The Warehouse) from 11am to 12 noon on Saturday 4 May, operating alongside the Johnsonville Lions Club who will be selling sausages.
$10 from each tank will be donated to a local charity or community group.
We will have limited stock on the day. If you want to reserve a water tank by paying in advance and picking up the tank on Saturday, please email malcolm.sparrow@wcc.govt.nz for online banking information. Otherwise you’re welcome to turn up and we may have some left!

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
