Plan and Prepare Workshop - Brooklyn

Hosted by WREMO (Wellington Region Emergency Management Office) in conjunction with the Greater Brooklyn Residents Association and the Vogelmorn Community Group.

Naū mai, haere mai - want to learn more about being prepared? Then this one-hour information session is perfect for you and the whānau. All residents of the greater Brooklyn area are invited.

We will discuss:
- A brief outline of the earthquake and tsunami hazard and potential impacts for people across the region as well as Brooklyn,
- Ways that you can be prepared personally and,
- How you can support your wider community if it happened now.

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.

This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
