The meaning of money
A lot of married couples argue about money.
This is because money is symbolic of our emotional needs—such as safety and power—and our personal histories.
Arguments about money aren’t about money. They are about our dreams, our fears, and our inadequacies.
The key is not to focus on how much something costs. Instead, it’s to go beneath the dollar value to explore what money means to each person in the relationship.
