Changes to kerbside collections this Christmas

Recycling and Nelmac Rubbish Collection
No recycling and Nelmac rubbish collection on 25 Dec or 1 Jan. Collection will remain the same for Monday 24 and 31 December. The usual collection will be moved a day later than usual for both weeks (excluding Mondays). For example, if your usual collection is a Tuesday, it will be collected on Wednesday. Friday collection will be done on a Saturday. Collection will return to the usual days 7 January 2019. Please check with your provider for other collection services.

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.

This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
