Do you know a community champ that is doing great work in the Masterton district? If so, the Masterton District Council wants to hear about them! The 2018 Youth and Civic awards are open.
So if you know someone who goes above and beyond to make our district a great place, don’t forget to nominate them before 9 November 2018! You can get more information through the MDC website.

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
