Trelissick Park repairs & closure

Social Media Specialist from Wellington City Council

We're repairing a section of the Northern Walkway in Trelissick Park. Due to these works, the track will be closed 9am-4pm on Thursday (18 Oct) & Friday (19 Oct) from Waikowhai Street to Wightwicks Field. The nearest alternative entrance to the Park is on Trelissick Crescent. (Red line in the image shows closed area).

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.

This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
