Youth Tribe 8 Week Leadership program @ Uxbridge starts Oct 18

Denise from Bucklands Beach

This is an eight week community based student leadership program for both female and male students ages 14+.

Term 4: October 18 through December 6, 2018

Together, Dee Petit and Clint Taniguchi have developed a community call Youth Tribe. Youth Tribe offers a creative platform for teens to experience a transformative approach towards developing leaders of a generation that thrives. Our community introduces students to concepts such as self-inquiry, mindfulness, resilience, self-awareness, self-value, self-confidence, adaptability, authenticity; attributes that will assist them through a successful and fulfilling transition through the key teenage years and on to higher education or the workplace.

Youth Tribe Mission is to encourage, build trust, and inspire creative expression in the development and unfolding of individual personal identity, values and goals in our teenage participants. We want youth to flourish and thrive with a sense of dignity, respect, love, happiness and self-worth. Youth Tribe creates a new space for teens to come together in the presence of infinite possibilities.

The program offers a constructive collective non-judgemental soundboard to test ideas, sharpen critical thinking skills and understand the dynamics of working individually and collaborating with others while encouraging honesty and authenticity as a path to one’s “True North”.

We take a creative and innovative approach toward technology and awareness in the creation of “A New Space” that explores infinite possibilities for a better future. We encourage an inspiring and insightful experience for teens to form new relationships and share in meaningful novel experiences while learning to live and appreciate life to its fullest with a positive attitude and a healthy relationship with one’s self, family, friends and those around them.

WE embrace a holistic approach toward vibrant and mindful living that inspires the art of creativity, self-motivation, self-awareness, self-love, self-acceptance and self-worth that invokes meaning, purpose and a sense of well-being and belonging. We demonstrate the importance of gratitude and remembering our roots.

Investment for each 8 week program: $160

The Youth Tribe Leadership Program is sponsored by the Auckland Council Howick Local Board.

Financial assistance is available on a case to case basis.

Poll: Should drivers retake the theory test every 10 years?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Drivers get where they need to go, but sometimes it seems that we are all abiding by different road rules (for example, the varying ways drivers indicate around a roundabout).
Do you think drivers should be required to take a quick driving theory test every 10 years?

Vote in the poll and share any road rules that you've seen bent! 😱
