EXHIBITION OPENING In Petone - Hikoikoi Reserve Boatsheds by Stephanie Crisp

Alfred Memelink Artspace Gallery

EXHIBITION OPENING - Hutt River Mouth/Hikoikoi Reserve Boatsheds by Stephanie Crisp.
Artspace Gallery on the Petone Foreshore Sat 29 Sept 1 - 5pm

Please join us this Saturday afternoon, to celebrate the opening of our latest exhibition featuring amazing new artworks by Stephanie Crisp. After a near sell out exhibition last year, Stephanie returns to Artspace Gallery for another exciting solo exhibition. Her work, often described as stunning, is beautifully constructed and balanced and often features her favourite subject to paint - boats and harbours. Stephanie just loves to paint impressions of wonderful boats and harbours and for this exhibition Stephanie has been inspired by the boatsheds which are almost on the gallery's doorstep, the Hutt River Mouth Boatsheds at Hikoikoi Reserve. She has created a lively and colourful collection or paintings that bring this area to life.

Stephanie will be flying up especially for the opening and is looking forward to meet you. We look forward to greeting you while you enjoy refreshments and live jazz in the friendly ambience of Petone's seaside gallery. Music will be provided by Bill Wollerman, jazz pianist extraordinaire and friends.

Enjoy exploring the other five exhibition spaces at our gallery to discover the varied collections of creativity always on show. In addition to regularly changing feature artist exhibitions, Artspace Gallery exhibits all genre of art created by over 300 mostly local and nationwide artists. Visitors regularly comment how wonderfully diverse the collections of local creativity are. The Gallery also offers a huge range of unique locally made creative gifts, gift cards and regular art classes.

Free and easy parking right outside the friendly seaside Gallery or along the sea front.
FREE ENTRY.

Stephanie Crisp's exhibition is open to view between Sat 29 Sept - Sun 28 Oct

Gallery Open 10 - 5pm Tuesday to Sunday

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.

This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.
