Team Up for the Ones you Love
Hi there
I am the Hastings Area Coordinator for the Pink Ribbon Appeal and this year (possibly because it falls in the school holidays) we are desperately short of collectors for Hastings - so far we have only 95 and we need a further 79 - I understand Havelock North has plenty!
To those of you who have yet to decide (or have decided but not yet signed up) it would be wonderful if you could sign up soon. I also encourage you all to talk to neighbours, friends, family and get them on board too.
You can sign up several ways: on-line or by phone:
• If you are already registered, go to www.pinkribbonvolunteer.co.nz... and log in and then sign up for the times and locations you prefer
• If you are a new volunteer, still go to www.pinkribbonvolunteer.co.nz... however you will need to register and then sign up for the times and locations you prefer
• If you prefer you could also call the free line 0508 105 105 and someone in National Office will help you register, or
• You could email them on pinkribbon@bcf.org.nz
Of course, if you need any advice / assistance at any time, I am happy to help:
• Email – susiemcc@xtra.co.nz
In the last three years we have increased our take by 23% - wouldn’t it be fantastic if, this year , we could make it 30% for the Hastings area!

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.
-
84.6% Yes

14% No
