AMI Community Grants Organisation Finalists- We need your help!
Hi Neighbours
I am part of the Fundraising and Marketing team at Cholmondeley Children's Centre based in Governors Bay! We are one of five extremely worthy finalists in the organisation category of the 2018 AMI Community Grants. We are the only South Island charity in this category! Last year we provided 1403 admissions to 519 children from Christchurch and the wider Canterbury region. This is the highest number of children in our 93-year history, and the demand for our service continues to grow. Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
