AUT is looking for people living with consequences of illness or disablity to take part in mobile health app development project
Hi everyone,
We are developing a mobile health app for people living with the consequences of illness or disability. We are looking for adults in the greater Auckland area who suffer from osteo arthritis, spinal cord injury, stroke, mild dementia, amputation, Multiple Sclerosis, or other neurological conditions and survivors of cancer to take part in our app development. No experience or app developing skills are required. We need your life experience and insights as a person with a health condition to inform our app. This means that we will seek your feedback and honest opinion on aspects of our app, so that we can deliver an app that is fit for purpose and useful to those we hope would benefit from using the app.

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.
