Paremata Residents Association AGM

The Annual General Meeting of the Paremata Residents Association
is being held
this Wednesday 16 May commencing at 7.15pm
at the
Mana Cruising Club (Ngati Toa Domain).

The AGM will provide an opportunity for residents to:
• Be updated on the Association’s activities – including progress with its Village Planning Projects;
• Comment on matters currently facing the community – including issues such as problems at the Paremata Roundabout, the future of SH1 when Transmission Gully becomes operational, the state of the harbour, etc.
• Pass on any concerns or ideas for the future; and
• Elect a Committee for the coming year.

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.

This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
