Bishopdale Directory

Aaron Campbell from Aaron Campbell - Fendalton-Waimairi-Harewood Board

The Bishopdale Community Trust is pleased to announce that the Bishopdale Directory is now live! The trust created the directory to bring together information on Bishopdale activities, groups and clubs, events, services, churches, schools, shops and businesses.

The first stage of the directory is now complete and contains categories for children and young people, churches, community groups and activities, health and medical, schools and education, services and information, and sport and fitness. Entries for shops and business will be added to the directory later on in the year.

I encourage you to take a look at the directory today. Not only will you be able to check the entry for your organisation / group / activity but you’ll be able to see just how much is going on in the suburb.
Best regards
Chris Coles, Community Development Worker

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.

This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.
