"HEARING LOSS IS FOREVER - PREVENT IT NOW"
DO YOU KNOW THAT LOUD NOISES CAN DAMAGE YOUR HEARING PERMANENTLY?
DO YOU KNOW THAT THIS IS 100% PREVENTABLE?
Gain an understanding of noise induced hearing loss and how to prevent this invisible disability.
A variety of educational presentations are offered free to your preschool, school, educators, community group or any other organisation interested in learning how to prevent noise induced hearing loss. These presentations are fun and memorable and are adjusted to be appropriate for the group it is being delivered to. Forty five minutes is all it takes (or time to suit)! It is delivered to each class separately in schools. A more flexible and shorter program is presented to preschoolers along with ‘The Hearing Song’. Each of the participants will gain valuable knowledge which is relevant to all ages.
Following is some feedback from program participants:
* “Delivery style was superb. I was hugely impressed and would have this delivery more often. Thanks for the wonderful interaction you had with my senior class”.
* “All my children were focused and motivated by the information being relayed to them. The program was delivered well. The language used was appropriate and aimed at their level (7-9yrs). Thank you for the awesome presentation. The children really loved the interactive activities”.
* “Students (11-12yrs) were engaged and amazed at the new knowledge. Very good information and students were able to discuss it all later. Thoroughly enjoyed this knowledge and lots of WOW but more stunned and concerned about the amount of damage I’ve caused myself”.
* “Carolynne clearly did an excellent job as every teacher commented on how good, how relevant, and how clearly explained her presentation was. The teachers felt they had learned a lot themselves. I would recommend all schools have the opportunity to have Carolynne, or someone like her, come into the classrooms to work with the teacher and the students on ways of preventing noise induced hearing loss – this is about improving educational outcomes for children and really should be given priority”.
* “Carolynne has provided our Preschool Centre with comprehensive literature and informative presentations on the prevention of noise induced hearing loss. These resources were not only free but very informative and were directed to both educators and children”.

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
