Whitby rates increase proposed at 4.9 percent

Geoff from Whitby

Whitby rates are proposed to increase by 4.9 percent under a proposal from Porirua City Council. Are you happy about this?
Come to a public meeting on Thursday night (20/4) at North Porirua Baptist Church at 7.30pm.
This is hosted by Whitby Residents Association to consider the proposed 4.9 percent rate increase. PCC councillors and officers will be present to answer any questions from residents. This is a public meeting and all residents are invited to attend.
All the documentation, including the proposed annual plan for 2017-18 is available on the PCC website. If you want to have your say about the plan, the proposed 2017-18 works, the rate increase, the living wage issue or waste water minimisation, come to the meeting to get all the info, and then make your own submission online using the council website link. Consultation closes on May 1.
