Reward for Big Clean Up Day
In early October of 2016 Neighbourly and the Warehouse encouraged neighbours to pick up rubbish in their communities. I did a shout out and got a response from Mr Jack Groos who came along to Jim Currie Reserve and helped me pick up rubbish there. Well, in December we were pleasantly surprised to receive a $100 Warehouse voucher for the clean up. I know that Jack will put that to good use with all the work he does tidying up Tokoroa. I have put Jack's latest flower bed clean up as our profile page for a bit of recognition. Who can tell us where this planter box is?? I hope we will get more of you joining the Big Clean Up day this year and go in the draw to win $100.00.
Congratulations Jack you do a great job :-)
Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.
