The Volunteer Car Groomer looks after the cars at their designated base by keeping cars cleaned (both exterior and interior) and attending to bi-monthly general maintenance checks. We're looking for patient, confident drivers who love to drive and enjoy meeting people from around the world. Volunteer driving mentors need to have held their full licence for 2 + years to help a former refugee practice their driving in Wellington City. The programme is for 2 x 1 hour a week for approx 16 to 20 weeks. A dual control practice car is provided and full training and support given.

We are needing volunteers to work with a happy team to clean the inpatient unit daily, in a manner not intrusive to the patients and families in the hospice. Rostered one morning a week between the hours of 9am-11am.

They help provide a National Board representative and senior staff in our Migration team with advice and recommendations on Red Cross services that support asylum seekers, convention refugees, former refugees and their families in their transition into New Zealand society. We are looking for help to construct a few wooden bar tables for our festival nights at our urban alternative event space. We have a design in mind that we just want practical help bringing to life.

Are you interested in gardening? Do you also have an interest in planting, growing and maintaining a community garden and compost facility. This could be the role for you! We have an inner city Te Aro garden that needs some green thumbs. We would like people with passion for helping to build community connection through the gardens. Trained staff will set the direction and offer training where needed. A couple of hours each Wednesday early evening will help facilitate food for the community. We will provide a hearty afternoon tea and all the equipment needed.
