Power back on after truck crashes into pole

Residents in the Dunedin suburb of Kaikorai Valley lost power after a truck crashed into a power pole this morning.

A police spokeswoman said the driver crashed into the pole in Greenock St about 8.55am.

The driver was believed to have escaped without injury, but St John had been called to the scene.

Aurora Energy said on social media this afternoon that power had been restored.
