Please donate to help Jo and her family during her fight against her aggressive form of Cancer.
Otago
Jo is a strong, inspirational, tough cookie, awesome single Mum to 2 beautiful children.
She had come out the other side of a few tough times to now be blown away with the shocking news that she has not only bowel cancer but also lesions that need aggressive, expensive treatment on her liver.
Jo is one of life’s good people, always willing to help others when they need, a wonderful friend, loves a party, but is also content to read a book , write or go for a bike ride with her kids or dog Jessie.
Jo works for Stuff as a reporter and recently became a celebrant. She often finds herself on the other side of these tragic stories and handles them with empathy and love.
It is now Jos turn to become a success story and we as her close Cromwell girlfriends want to do all that is possible to help get Jo and her family all the medical treatments available including the recommended non funded drugs.
Please donate anything you can, we all will be incredibly grateful.
I am one of Jos many good friends. I am setting this up on behalf of our Donegal Street Gang of Mums in support of her fight for her life, to beat an aggressive Cancer!
The funds will be used for Jo to fight aggressive Cancer and to receive recommended non-funded treatments from her doctors, including Avastin $25,000 and FOLFOX-BEV $19,320; BEACON $62,600; and STI-PEM $126,600

We have reopened Jo's fundraising page following requests after she her story appeared in Stuff on Saturday. We hope her story will help others, as well as make health leaders question the current system and make change so young people don't end up in Jo's situation.
